Founders/Team
Andrew Seagrave (CEO)
Andrew cut his teeth in the wine industry for 13 years across all facets of the business; growing, post production, and sales as a Certified Sommelier. Diving into the Hemp Industry in 2014, Andrew has worked through many sectors of the business. His extensive experience has traversed across retail product representation, bulk market sales and in more recent years large scale kief and flower production for international export with Low Gravity, in which he is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO.
Joseph Friis (CEO)
Joseph Friis graduated from UC Davis in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Biology and Hydrology with a focus on sustainable forestry and water management. Prior to entering the hemp and cannabis space, his career path has included employment with the USDA Forest Service, the University of California at Davis, several charity fundraising companies, and Blue Apron. In addition, Joseph’s entrepreneurial endeavors include a real estate LLC that owns and manages commercial properties in California and Washington. Joseph’s career in hemp and cannabis began in 2016 when he partnered in the creation of Wohleb Scientific to develop and patent a sustainable hemp and cannabis water extraction process. In 2022, Joseph and Andrew Seagrave created Low Gravity, LLC with the intention of becoming an industry leading manufacturer of bulk hemp-derived ingredients for a rapidly growing global hemp industry.
Joseph operates with an emphasis on environmental consciousness and sustainability with a focus on bringing safe and sustainable manufacturing practices into industries that have otherwise been considered unsafe, inefficient, and archaic.
